How it works

How Loopeto works

Membership is FREE!

Using the Loopeto marketplace, you can easily find second hand goods in your area.  The options available are GIVE (free), SHARE (rent), SELL or REPAIR.

You can also list your goods for others to see, helping out others in your community and earning extra cash.

For Listing a Product
1. Sign up to become a member and list your product in minutes:
-  Select most appropriate category: FREE, RENT, SELL or REPAIR.
-  Take a photo, add description and post your product.
2. Receive enquiries from Loopeto members.
-   Communicate directly with users to discuss specifics via the Loopeto messaging platform..  
4. Once agreed, arrange collection or a meet up point.
5. Close your listing on Loopeto, or if it’s a rental, leave it there for re-booking.

** For the rental of goods, we recommend that:

- The Renter and the Borrower take photographs of the goods just before collection and upon return of the goods.  These photo’s are to evidence the condition of the goods before and after the rental period, which will aid any dispute between both parties.

- Agree an appropriate deposit to be paid by the Borrower to the Lender upon exchange of the item, which is then refunded when the item is returned.  All deposits are outside of the Loopeto Rental Terms of Service.  **

To Find a Product
1.  Sign-up and start searching for products. 
2. Message the owner directly if you have any questions.
3. Agree transaction between you and the seller.
4. Collect goods if free, pay for rental goods via Loopeto Stripe payment system or sold goods direct with the seller.

Fees, Payments, and Disputes

Fees for Free or Repair goods

No fees.

Fees for Selling Goods 

For the sale of goods, you can make payment to the seller outside the Loopeto platform.  This is free.

Fees for Renting Goods 

For the rental of goods, all payments must be made via the Loopeto platform.  Payments are administered by Stripe and commission fees of 10% apply.

If the owner wishes to apply a refundable deposit, this is to be agreed and paid on collection, outside of the Loopeto platform.

Community Guidelines
We take the safety of our community seriously, so our team will review all listings and remove any that are suspicious and/or violate our community rules (see below).

1. Respect all other members and do not send spam, offensive, or threatening messages, leave comments, or engage in any other form of offensive communication.
2. Only create listings for goods you own, are authorised to give away, sell or rent.
3. Ensure goods being rented are in safe condition to use. 
3. Try to answer all messages in a timely fashion.  
4. Loopeto is a third-party marketplace and by using it, you must also comply with any and all local laws, regulations, safety measures, and/or booking agreement(s) by listing owners that are applicable. 
5. We do not allow contact information or external links (URL's) on listings and/or in images that are added to listings.  This includes emails, websites, and phone numbers.
6. For the safety and security of our community, we do not allow contact information to be sent through our messaging prior to an agreed transaction.  Sending messages containing your personal information, contact information, or taking transactions off our platform is against our policies and can result in being removed from our community.
